Hydraulic drive

A hydraulic drive is a set of hydraulic machines and hydraulic control equipment that converts the energy of a fluid flow into mechanical energy. In most cases, the efficiency of hydraulic drives at higher gear ratios is higher than that of mechanical gears. Hydraulic drive

Hydraulic drive as an opportunity to mechanize labor-intensive processes and implement automation

The use of hydraulic transmissions provides a practical possibility of centralized (from one pressure station) power supply to many machines and mechanisms. In some cases, this achieves a significant reduction in the total required power of the primary engines, and, accordingly, the power of all electric power equipment. All this leads to a reduction in capital and operating costs and the complete elimination of electrical injuries.

The hydraulic transmission system provides a practical opportunity to mechanize labor-intensive processes and automate control, regulation and information, especially in primary livestock processing shops and refrigerated warehouses. The hydraulic systems use mineral and castor oil, glycerin, water, andspecial mixtures.

Each hydraulic system has a pump that supplies the working fluid to the system and maintains the specified pressure and flow rate; a hydraulic motor that transmits motion and energy to the parts of the actuator; pipes connecting the pump and the hydraulic motor; a reservoir for storing a reserve volume of fluid; a pressurized working fluid accumulator that is lost during peak loads; devices that regulate the pressure, direction of fluid supply and devices for cleaning (filtering) and cooling the working fluid.

To inject the working fluid into the system, liquid injection pumps are used - gear, vane, piston, etc. Depending on the design and purpose, the following hydraulic actuators are distinguished: positional, with cyclic or contour control, tracking, stepping, etc.

The hydraulic drive provides a practical opportunity to mechanize a number of labor-intensive processes and to implement automation, control, regulation and information, especially in livestock primary processing shops and cold storage facilities. Similar information: Electric drive.
