How to remove a stain without damaging your clothes
Anyone can get a stain on a suit or dress, even the most careful person. But only a slob would walk around with a stain on their clothes. There are different types of stains, and almost every one can be removed.
Just a word of advice: first of all, use a clothes brush to clean the spot where the stain is. This should always be done to prevent dust from causing stains. If the stain does not disappear after such a simple cleaning, you will have to resort to some more effective means.
Asa general rule of thumb, place a clean white cloth folded several times under the stain you want to remove.
How to remove grease stains
Grease stains are removed with gasoline or turpentine. Be very careful with gasoline. It evaporates easily and is flammable.
When you take a little gasoline from a bottle to a piece of paper, immediately put the cork back on the bottle and make sure that no one near you strikes a match.
Before cleaning fresh grease stains, iron them with a warm iron through 2 to 3 layers of blotting paper. Sometimes, as a result of such a measure, the stain completely disappears. If it remains, clean it with gasoline.
Herbal stains on clothes, if they are fresh, are washed with warm soapy water and a small amount of ammonia. Fruit and berry stains can be removed in several ways:
- Rinse a fresh stain immediately with cold water.
- Soak the stained area in hot milk and then rinse with water.
- With hydrogen peroxide: 1 teaspoon in 1/2 cup of water. Then rinse the stained area with cold water.

Ink (purple) stains can be removed: If they are on a white fabric, then with citric acid (1 teaspoon per glass of water). If they are on something colored, use a mixture of glycerin and denatured alcohol: 5 parts denatured alcohol and 2 parts glycerin.
